LG obtains 40,000 pre-orders for the G6 in 4 days, announces Android Nougat update for G4 and V10

While LG hasn’t said where it obtained its pre-orders, the G6 seems to be off to a good start. The South Korean company announced that it already received 40,000 pre-orders for the flagship device. It’s deemed impressive especially since this happened in the span of four days. The pre-orders are most likely from South Korea as pre-orders in other regions haven’t started yet. In the same press release that announced these figures, LG also announced that the flagship will be coming out in Korea on March 10th for 899,800 won or around CA$1,000.

As 9to5Google reports, LG is also bringing some good news to G4 and V10 users. The two smartphones are slated to get Android Nougat update after customer backlash over reports that it wasn’t going to bring the update to the devices. The V10 is expected to get the Nougat update during the second half of 2017, while the G4 will be getting it sometime in the third quarter of this year. The caveat is this schedule is for Korea and there’s no word yet about other regions.
