D-Link launches first HomeKit-enabled camera

D-Link has just released an IP camera that's designed to work with Apple's HomeKit smart and connected home platform.

The new Omna 180 Cam HD works alongside other Homekit-enabled devices and provides a stylish and easy way for users to monitor their homes right from their iOS devices.

Omna’s HomeKit integration allows users to be “always home.” Seeing everything through your iOS device offers extra peace of mind – keeping an eye on your baby in the nursery, checking on an elderly relative, watching your dog in the living room, or helping ensure homes are safe while on vacation. Users can access their Omna remotely to see what’s happening in their home in real time.

“We are thrilled to introduce the first camera to the Apple HomeKit ecosystem,” said Lou Reda, president of D-Link Canada, “HomeKit technology makes setup easy and provides a simple way for the Omna 180 Cam HD to work alongside other HomeKit-enabled devices to provide a better-connected home experience.”

The new Omna 180 Cam HD (DSH-C310) retails for $269.95 CAD (tax excluded) and is now available online at Apple.ca.
