Nintendo outs New 2DS XL

Nintendo launches a new version of its 2DS portable player. Called the New 2DS XL, it takes cues from the New 3DS with features like Amiibo-compatible NFC reader, C-stick, Z-buttons, extra processing power, and compatibility with games exclusive to the New 3DS XL. Its screen size is around the same size as the 3DS XL but seems to be sleeker and smaller. But as the name suggests, it doesn’t have the 3D capability of the 3DS XL. The New 2DS XL is coming out in the US on July 28th for US$149.99 and it costs $50 less than the New 3DS XL and $70 more than the 2DS. On the same day, Nintendo is also releasing Hey Pikmin! and Miitopia. Japan is getting first dibs with the New 2DS XL launching on July 13th for 14,980 yen.
