KEEN partners with not-for-profit Trans Canada Trail to launch The Great Trail App
We'll be exploring more of our home country this year and there's so much to see! We will take some time on the West Coast and get in some hiking trails along the way. I've already downloaded the new The Great Trail Powered by KEEN App to use there and also anywhere else we will be travelling in Canada, including our own city!
Designed to enhance user experience on the Trail by providing detailed information about trail sections and surrounding amenities like parking, rest stops and restaurants. Trail users can track their journeys and share their experiences and images on social media. By the way, did you know that The great Trail is the longest recreational trail in the world?
The app also offers a variety of terrain to enjoy from urban, rural to wilderness landscapes along greenways, waterways and roadways. Every province and territory is home to its own stretch of The Great Trail and it is is used by millions of Canadians and international visitors for a variety of purposes including experiencing the country’s historic rail trails, exploring provincial and territorial capitals, paddling the routes of early explorers and even commuting to and from work. The Trail provides opportunities for Canadians to enjoy the benefits of safe, healthy, and active living.
KEEN, the independently owned outdoor footwear brand, announced their official partnership with Trans Canada Trail (TCT), the not-for-profit organization overseeing the development of The Great Trail, which will connect the country from coast to coast. The footwear brand joins TCT in their goal to connect the history-making trail for Canada’s 150th birthday.
The Great Trail Powered by KEEN App is available free for iPhone (Android version coming soon). For more information on the app visit thegreattrail.ca
