Google makes sharing stuff with family members an easy thing
From sharing calendars and notes to sending photos and videos easily, Google is introducing a new “family group” feature for its service. There can be up to six members of the family included in a group. One of you will serve as the “manager” or the administrator of the group. This person can do things like change payment methods, allow and disallow certain services for some people, and monitor the activities of those under 13 years old. There are also “parent” accounts on the service but they don’t have all the aforementioned features. But they can do things like approve or deny purchase requests and make other restriction changes. You can only be part of one family group at a time and you can leave or join a group only once every 12 months.
Some of the things you can do within the family group is in YouTube TV, you all get access to your own cloud DVR with unlimited storage. You also will be able to easily share calendars and notes through Google Calendar and Keep. Sending photos and videos are also easier through Google Photos. It must be noted that sharing isn’t automatic on Google Keep and Photos so you need to set those up. Some other things you can check out include Play Family Library, Play Music family plans, Family Link, YouTube TV, and Google Calendar. Family sharing for Calendar, Keep, and Photos are already rolling out here.
