Nintendo announces three fun tournaments coming to Fan Expo Canada

This year's edition of Fan Expo Canada will have no shortage of fun! Nintendo has announced three exciting tournaments to this year's roster featuring three games on the Nintendo Switch system. The Nintendo booth on the show floor will include initaitonal tournaments for Splatoon 2 and Pokkén Tournament DX games. Plus attendees will have the chance to qualify in an ARMS tournament. Here are the details:

Pokkén Tournament DX Invitational  – Saturday, September 2 at 12:00 p.m.

Four Canadian gamers will step into the arena and battle to become the Ferrum League champion in Pokkén Tournament DX - weeks before the game launches for Nintendo Switch on September 22. Players will participate in a round-robin tournament, followed by a best-of-three, single-elimination semifinal stage and a best-of-five championship.

ARMS Tournament – Saturday, September 2 at 2:00 p.m.

Fan Expo attendees can put their fighting skills to the test in an epic ARMS battle. Participation in this tournament is open to Fan Expo attendees - qualifying games will be held at the Nintendo booth beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2 (a limited number of spaces are available in the qualifying round).* Eight participants selected during qualifying will do battle in a single-elimination bracketed tournament for the chance to be crowned the ARMS Tournament champion.

Splatoon 2 Inkling Invitational – Sunday, September 3 at 3:00 p.m.

Fan Expo attendees can witness fierce competitors battle for ink-splatting glory in the Splatoon 2 Inkling Invitational. During this tournament, four Splatoon 2 teams will battle each other in a round-robin Turf War tournament. A single-elimination semifinals and final round will determine which Splatoon 2 team will reign supreme.
