Montblanc Summit 2 becomes first smartwatch to launch with Qualcomm’s newest wearable chip

We’re seeing the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor for the first time ever on a premium smartwatch (or any Android Wear smartwatch for that matter). The processor is coming to the new Montblanc Summit 2, which brings a longer battery life and richer ambient display than its predecessor. Montblanc claims this second iteration of the Summit can offer up to a week of battery life if you leave it on Time Only mode. With a starting price of US$995, it comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a 14.3mm-thick case with a 1.2-inch screen. The smartwatch runs on Wear OS 2.1.
