OnePlus 6T brings upgrades to the camera, screen, and battery

If Apple has the “S” models, OnePlus has the “T” models. Since the OnePlus 3 launched in 2016, the Shenzen-based company has released an updated version of its flagship before the year ends. This time, the OnePlus 6T has a 6.41-inch OLED display with a small, teardrop-like notch and in-display fingerprint reader, 2,340 x 1,080 resolution, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Its looks and feature set are similar to those seen in OPPO and Vivo devices, which are sister companies of OnePlus. It has a bigger 3,700mAh battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, Android 9 Pie running over OxygenOS, and 25GB internal storage.

The cameras on the 6T include a dual-camera setup in the back with 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors as well as an f/1.7 aperture for the primary lens. It also has a new Nightscape mode that is said to improve low-light photography. It’ll be offered in three tiers: 128GB with 6GB of RAM (US$549, approx. CA$720) or 8GB of RAM (US$579, approx. CA$760) and 256GB with 8GB of RAM (US$629, approx. CA$830).
