Alcatel 3V and 1X officially launches in Canada
TCL Communication is bringing in two feature-packed Alcatel devices into the country: the Alcatel 3V and 1X. The Alcatel 3V comes with a custom-built 6-inch TCL Full HD+ 18:9 near bezel-less display, dual-rear 12-megapixel primary and 2-megapixel secondary depth cameras, 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, and fingerprint sensor and Face Key biometric security. The 3V features Alcatel’s SIMGANIC design, which the company describes as offering “a balance of organic and simplicity from a human centric perspective.” It features curved back and sleek 2.5D contoured edge glass. To protect the phone, Alcatel is throwing in a clear case and screen protector in the box.
The Alcatel 1X also features an 18:9 display but with a smaller 5.3-inch screen. What makes this phone more special is it’s an Android Oreo Go device, meaning it’s been optimized to run Android faster, more efficiently, and uses less storage. It comes with the Go edition of popular Android apps like Google Maps and Gmail as well as third-party apps like Facebook Lite. But, of course, you have access to the full suite of Android apps and games as well. It comes with 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD. The 1X also has an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera.
The Alcatel 3V is now available at Walmart.com and Staples stores for $199.98, and the Alcatel 1X with Android Oreo (Go edition) is available at Walmart and Staples stores for $149.99. Both devices are unlocked to support GSM and LTE networks, including Bell, Koodo Mobile, Fido, Rogers, TELUS, Videotron, Virgin Mobile and more.
