Colour options for the Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact leak ahead of launch

With the upcoming launch of the Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact, we also get tons of leaked information about the two devices. One of the latest leaks involve the devices are the color options the two phones are coming in. The XZ2 will come in Black, White (or Silver), Pink, and Teal, while the XZ2 Compact comes in Orange and Green, aside from the standard Black and White/Silver. There also seems to be varying camera placements with the two devices. The XZ2 has the flash and additional sensors in a vertical layout, while the Compact’s placement is horizontal with the camera closer to the edge.

The two devices feature the new design language Sony is aiming for. They’re rumoured to be among the first devices to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip and will be the first Sony devices to have 18:9 displays. Screen size is said to be 5.7 inches with a 1080p+. The XZ2 will supposedly upgrade the XZ Premium’s camera from having an f/2.0 aperture to f/1.8 and will bump up its super slow-motion video recording (at 960fps) from 720p resolution to 1080p. Batteries are rumorued to be getting a boost too with the XZ2 getting 3,180mAh battery capacity and the XZ2 Compact getting 2,870mAh. The phones are also said to be losing the 3.5mm audio jack. Where the two devices will differ is the XZ2 gets wireless charging and stereo speakers and it’ll feature a glossy finish. The XZ2 Compact will have a matte back. No word yet on waterproofing.
