Acer outs Predator X27, a 4K, HDR, and G-Sync monitor

Acer’s Predator gaming brand is throwing a bone to desktop gamers with its newest monitor. And by bone, we mean all the latest tech it could. The Preador X27 4K monitor doesn’t just feature a true 3,840 x 2,160 resolution. It also has NVIDIA’s G-Sync tech, a graphics card and screen synchronization tech. On top of this, it has full 10-bit HDR support.

But that isn’t all. This 27-inch monitor also has a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits of brightness (which is a big deal since most HDR screens max out at 600 nits), and 99 percent coverage of the Adobe RGB colors spectrum. This comes at a pretty price, though. It’s available on preorder on Newegg for US$2,000 and will launch on June 1^st.
