eBay Canada launches Best Price Guarantee for shoppers

eBay Canada launched a Best Price Guarantee program, offering Canadian eBay shoppers 110% of the price difference on items found for less on an approved competitor's website. Best Price Guarantee improves on eBay's current price match offering, and runs site-wide through the month of July on Canadian items, making sure shoppers receive the lowest price online.

"Our Canadian eBay sellers have always offered great prices, but with this new program, we guarantee that they are the best or we'll pay the difference plus 10%," said Andrea Stairs, General Manager, eBay Canada & Latin America. "Just before the summer heats up with deal-driven events, we are introducing Best Price Guarantee to give Canadians on eBay.ca the confidence to know they are getting the best possible price every single day, with no membership fees required."

Best Price Guarantee allows Canadians to be sure they are getting the best deal on all eligible items located in Canada. Users who find an eligible item available for less on an approved competitor's website can contact customer service within 48 hours of their purchase on eBay.ca to be issued an eBay coupon for 110% of the difference, upon confirmation by the eBay team.

Items qualifying for the Best Price Guarantee are:

• Any item that is new, unopened, has a UPC code, is located in Canada and is listed in Canadian dollars.
• Eligible items must be available from an approved competitor, including Amazon.ca, BestBuy.ca, and Walmart.ca.
• Both items (listed on eBay and the approved competitor's website) should be exactly the same and currently in stock.

In the last 18 months, eBay Canada has seen double-digit growth in volume. In 2017, the number of Canadian sellers increased by more than 10%, and more than 3.5 million domestic listings were added to the site. Many Canadian sellers participate in eBay's Deals program, offering daily deep discounts on big brands across eBay categories including consumer electronics, home & garden and fashion. All Canadian listings in the Deals program include free shipping within Canada.
