Dell Canada raises awarenes on World Ocean's Day with stunning art installation

Dell Canada is raising awareness on World Ocean's Day by collaborating with mixed media artist Anna Mielniczek, who used reclaimed and recycled lastic bags, strings, bottles and other non-biodegradeable waste to create an immersive interpretation of the sea.

Currently on exhibit at Toronto's Harbourfront, the installation is a cleverly and painstakingly created work of art that moves with the wind near the lake, emulating a reef full of marine and plant life. As the surge in water pollution threatens our seas with more plastic covering the ocean the fish, companies like Dell have made it a point to raise awareness and make a difference.

Dell EMC Canada president Mike Sharun said that raising awareness on the threats to the ocean's is part of Dell's initiative. Dell uses recycled Ocean Plastic as packaging for their popular XPS 12 line of laptops and notebooks.

Dell's packaging is made from recycled water plastic to raise awareness.The installation is similarly recycleable. It will be viewable at the Harbourfront this weekend and then it will be repurposed in Dell's offices. From there it will be showcased in various Dell events.
