Ontario now offers free online driver's licence check

There used to be a $2 fee for checking if an Ontario driver's licence is valid. But now it's free to check online through the new Ontario Driver's Licence Check website. If you check it on your mobile, you can even scan the barcode at the back of the licence instead of having to input the numbers.

According to a press release from the Government of Ontario, this move is "putting money back in people's pockets by making it free for Ontarians to check if their driver's licence is valid before getting behind the wheel."
