Move more with ParticipACTION

You may or may not want to admit it to yourself, but you’re probably not moving as much as you need to. According to ParticipACTION, only 18 percent of its participants currently meet the physical activity guidelines of 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous intensity aerobic physical activity per week. To help you get moving, ParticipACTION launched a free app designed to help you become more active with the use of big data. It is designed to build a "holistic view" of your activity levels and motivations to help you achieve your physical activity goals. It'll learn your habits and customize its content based on your activity levels and demographics. It'll also offer positive feedback and a "real-time loyalty engine" to keep you motivated—including even financial incentives to get you back on track.

The app has everything from how-to videos, to at-home workouts, to customized content, to new sports and activity suggestions so you can stay active. It's available on both Android and iOS, and connects to both Google Fit and Apple Health for real-time physical activity tracking.
