‘Captain Marvel’ star Lashana Lynch is tipped to be the new 007 in upcoming ‘James Bond’ film

Rumour has it Captain Marvel actress Lashana Lynch will step in as the new 007 in the film being dubbed “Bond 25.” According to a report from the Daily Mail, the British actress will be taking over the role from Daniel Craig. A movie insider said, "There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says 'Come in 007', and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman. It's a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he's been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman." The film is directed by True Detective’s Cary Joji Fukunaga. Not much is known about it, but it seems this will have Craig’s character come out of retirement for one last mission—and so that’s Lynch’s characters cue to step in. The film is expected to premiere in April 2020.
