Bethesda promises you won’t need internet access to play the ‘Doom’ re-releases
Some Doom players weren’t particularly happy when Bethesda re-released the first three Doom games. That’s because the re-released version required users to have a BethesdaNet account, which meant you needed to be online. And this frustrated players who have been playing these games before home internet access really took off. The developer assures its players that it’s listening, though. Bethesda is now working on making accounts optional for players. The company reasoned that the requirement to reward the members of Bethesda’s Doom Slayers Club for playing the original titles. But if you don’t want to sign up, it seems you’ll be able to play the game soon without it.
