Samsung Galaxy S21 might not include charger, earphones in the box

Samsung is reportedly toying around with not including a charger and a pair of earphones with its upcoming Galaxy S21 flagship. If the rumours are true, the company will follow in Apple's footsteps, who took out the iPhone 12's accessories. Apple said it was for environmental purposes, but without reducing the price, it's also seen as a way to increase its profit margins. And Samsung might be following in that thinking.

As SamMobile points out, this move could be ironic, given the company's social media team heavily made fun of Apple's announcement that it was getting rid of the charger.

Korean media reports that Samsung might not ditch the earphones and the charger, but at least take the earphones out of the box. It already sells its 45W charger separately, so that move won't be surprising.

It remains to be seen if Samsung pushes forward with this move and whether it'll reduce the price of the upcoming flagships. It could use this opportunity to encourage is customers to buy its accessories. We'll have to wait and see.
