PS5 remote comes with dedicated Spotify button

Spotify wants you to know there are different ways to use the streaming service with Sony's new PlayStation 5 console. One of the quicker ways to access the app is the new PS5 media remote, including a Spotify button. It's sold separately for $39.99.

The streaming service assures you that, like the PS4, you can listen to music and podcasts while you play. Its playback controls are accessible through the Music section in the PS5's Control Center, allowing you to pause or skip tracks without leaving your game.

As with other devices, the PS5 also works with Spotify Connect, meaning you can use your smartphone to control the app. The console also has a new Media Home section, where Spotify joins other media streaming services like Disney+ and Crave. You can link your existing account or create a new one right from the console.
