Call of Duty: Black Ops-Cold War is an 80's-era FPS extravaganza

The Call of Duty franchise has transcended a wide range of times and places. We've been to both world wars as well as a variety of one off locations and situations in Modern Warfare. This time around we gear up during the 80's and during the very tense and volatile Cold War between the USA and Russia. As expected, we get to immerse in team deathmatch and domination style battles as well as a truly gripping zombie killing session.

For gamers who like to dive in and tweak every aspect of their gameplay, Call of Duty: Black Ops-Cold War provides an endless canvas of control. Others who just want to jump in and join the fray might miss out on the granular options for customization. We've relished the Brick in the Wall mission, which mixes a espionage and tension as you take down enemy targets in East Berlin. The Cold War, after all, was mostly covert and fought under the shadiest conditions. Being a CoD title means that the best parts are still found in free for all shootouts as well as team dynamics. In terms of hardware, the 80's era guns and sights might make you miss their more modern counterparts. Still, this game has been the main title on our PS4 as we quell our PS5 FOMO and it's been a blast so far. Stay tuned for more insights on the latest Activision top tier shooter.
