Disney+ to start streaming 'Frozen 2' in Canada on March 17

Disney has chosen to release its beloved hit Frozen 2 three months ahead of its plan on Disney+ with hopes of bringing "some fun and joy during this challenging period." Canada, along with the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand, will be getting the film on Tuesday, March 17. US users will get the movie this Sunday, but it'll only be available in HD. Ultra HD version of the film will be coming out on Tuesday for all Disney+ markets.

It's both a charitable move as well as a savvy business approach for Disney, with more and more people finding themselves at home due to the coronavirus (COVID-19). The film could serve as a welcome distraction, but it is also an excellent way to advertise its streaming service.
