Spotify will allow parents to check their kids' listening history, block content

Spotify Kids gives parents more control over what their children listen to on the app. Parents can view their kids' listening history and block content.

The feature is accessible through the "Grown Ups" section of the app. From there, you can select which child's account history to view. It will show every track your kid is listening to for the past three months.

In the same section, you can block the content you want by tapping on the block icon next to the content. The changes can only be applied to individual accounts. You can't apply the change across various kids' accounts at once. Parents can opt to unblock tracks by accessing the listening history or heading to the blocked tracks section. You can tap on the red icon next to each track from there.

Spotify Kids app has around 8,000 songs, stories, sounds, and audiobooks with these curated into over 125 playlists. The company plans to introduce more customization options for parents in the future.

Aside from introducing this new option, Spotify Kids is also now available in Japan and Germany.
