Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G renders get leaked
It's not a tech event or a Samsung event unless most devices get leaked ahead of time. This time, we're getting a better look at Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G. MySmartPrice got their hands on high-resolution renders of the phone from a "trusted source." The foldable device will reportedly come in the new Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze colours. And it'll feature the same book-like, folding mechanism of the original Galaxy Z Fold.
But now Samsung drops the camera notch for a punch-hole, for both the inner 7.7-inch Super AMOLED primary display and outer 6.23-inch Super AMOLED Cover screen. The external display has thinner bezels, too. Samsung also reportedly worked on the hinge mechanism to make it better than the first-generation model. The triple-camera setup at the back looks similar to the rumoured design of the Galaxy Note 20, which will be launched alongside this foldable gadget on August 5.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G will supposedly support a 120Hz refresh rate for the foldable screen. The three cameras at the back will have 64-megapixel + 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel sensors, while the selfie camera will be a 10-megapixel shooter. Its storage capacity will go up to 512GB, and it will have two batteries inside with a combined capacity of 4,356mAh with 15W wireless and 15W reverse charging support.
Samsung will reportedly keep the price at US$1,980 (around CA$2,658), which was the price of the first device when it launched.
