Zoom is bringing its video conferencing app to smart displays this year. The company will start rolling it out to Facebook Portal first in September, with Amazon Echo Show and Google Nest Hub Max getting support before the year ends.

Zoom will leverage Portal's Smart Camera to keep the focus on you. It will be available on the Portal Mini, Portal, and Portal+ with support for Portal TV in the future.

Meanwhile, select Amazon Echo Show devices will get support for Zoom. You can join meetings by merely calling up Alexa and saying, "Alexa, join my Zoom meeting." If your calendar is linked to the Alexa app, it will automatically start your scheduled meeting without needing your meeting ID or passcode or you having to press anything. The Zoom support rollout will begin in the US, starting with the Echo Show 8.

As for Zoom on the Google Nest Hub Max, it will fully integrate with Google Calendar and Google Assistant to offer the same handsfree controls you can get with the Amazon devices. You can just issue commands like "Hey Google, join my next meeting." According to the company, Zoom is coming to Assistant-enabled smart displays by the end of the year.
