Rugged Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 comes to Canada for $780
Samsung Canada has announced that its new rugged tablet is now available in the country. The Galaxy Tab Active3 retails for $779.99, and it comes in black. It is available at Samsung.com, Samsung Experience Stores, Bell, and participating distributors and resellers. This ruggedized slate promises to have better touch capacity to help field-based professionals who use gloves easily access what they need on this device.
As a rugged device, it was tested against military standard MIL-STD-810H. It has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and improved shock absorption up to 1.5 metres courtesy of its included protected cover. The Galaxy Tab Active2, with its case, has shock absorption up to 1.2 metres.
The Galaxy Tab Active3 runs on an Exynos 9810 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage. It comes equipped with Wi-Fi 6 with Dual Antenna MIMO2 to keep up with Wi-Fi connectivity needs. It supports Samsung DeX, Samsung Knox, and Google ARCore.
It comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, support for camera-based barcode scanning, a programmable key for quick access to apps, and an IP68-certified S Pen.
This 8-inch tablet promises up to 11 hours on a single charge courtesy of its replaceable 5,050mAh battery with support for fast-charging through USB and POGO pins. If you keep it at a kiosk, the Galaxy Tab Active3 supports a No Battery Mode while connected to a power source.
