'Bendable' LG OLED gaming monitor will appear at CES 2021

LG Display doesn't just have transparent OLED demos to show off at its CES 2021 virtual showroom. LG will also showcase a 48-inch 4K "Bendable CSO (Cinematic Sound OLED) display" that changes from a flat screen to a curved one at a press of a button. It has up to a 1,000mm radius for those who want an immersive gaming experience.

The Cinematic Sound OLED aspect is new for this LG concept. It adds a 0.6mm-thick film exciter, which turns the entire panel into a speaker. This feature allows for a slimmer monitor and audio that comes directly from the screen, with a promise to offer an even more immersive gaming and video experience.

LG said the monitor supports a variable refresh rate from 40Hz to 120Hz, which is the minimum for gaming monitors these days. But others don't offer this "bendable" display yet.
