New Dell Latitude 9000 series laptops come with automatic webcam shutters

Dell's new Latitude 9420 and 9520 laptops are built for the work-from-home era. These come with a new feature called SafeShutter, which the company claims is an industry-first automatic webcam shutter. It opens and closes on its own by syncing with video conferencing programs. These machines also have secure mic and mute keys.

These models get a processor upgrade with 11th-gen Intel Core vPro processors, improved built-in speakers, and better camera enhancements with automatic light correction and background blur. You can get these laptops in either a clamshell or 2-in-1 configuration, with the 2-in-1 option available in 5G or 4G LTE and eSIM configurations. Both models will arrive in the spring in the US, with the Latitude 9420's pricing starting at US$1,949 (CA$2,469) and the 9520's pricing to be announced in the spring as well.
