OnePlus also pulls out of CES 2022 in-person appearance
Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 9:04AM OnePlus joins many of the big names opting out of making an in-person appearance at CES 2022 in a few days. It didn't give a detailed explanation, but the move is clearly a response to the surge of new COVID-19 cases because of the Omicron variant. OnePlus is starting the year with the introduction of the OnePlus 10 Pro, and there were rumours it was going to unveil the phone at CES. Maybe it will still do a virtual launch for its next flagship.
Right now, OnePlus joins the likes of AMD, MSI, Microsoft, Lenovo, Google, Meta, and more who have backed out of in-person involvement with the show. Consumer Technology Association, the organizer of CES, still plans to push through with the show. So far, LG, Samsung, and Sony are still committed to being physically at the conference.
