LG's bringing its new garden appliance to CES 2022. The LG tiiun allows you to cultivate vegetables, herbs, and flowers right from your home. Tiiun, which means "to sprout" in Korean, is an appropriate name for the gadget. It's designed to be a self-contained unit with two shelves that can hold up to six all-in-one seed packages along with three different kinds of seed kits. Each seed package has 10 holes for seed germination. You can grow various greens simultaneously in only four to eight weeks without worrying about the mess.

The LG tiiun is a CES 2022 Innovation Award winner for its innovative tech, which used its expertise in different home appliance categories. It uses LG's Inverter Compressor for its Flexible Weather Control System. That tech precisely adjusts tiiun's internal temperature to create the optimal conditions for organic growth. It can also automatically regulate temperature and light to mimic the natural cycle of the day. Its smart gardening system delivers water eight times a day. At the same time, its Auto Ebb & Watering System circulates the ideal moisture amount to turn the seeds into healthy greens and vibrant flowers.

The appliance's internal structure is designed to improve photosynthesis efficiency. It amplifies the effect of the interior LED light source to speed up the growing process. The LG tiiun has a transparent door to let you check out how your plants are doing. It has an airtight seal to ensure pesky insects don't get in and maintain its internal temperature. You can monitor the progress of your plants' growth through the ThinQ app. It can also alert you if you need to refill the water tank or let you change or check the tiiun's settings.

LG hasn't shared pricing or availability for international markets yet, but it retails for 1.49 million Korean won (around CA$1,596 converted). LG will showcase the tiiun and tiiun mini at CES 2022 beginning January 5. You can check it out through this link.
