'Pokémon Diamond' and 'Pearl' remakes are coming to the Switch later this year

Nintendo DS classic game remakes Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are coming to the Switch later this year. The games get improved graphics to make the most of the console, and they will have similar art styles to the games Pokémon Sword and Shield.

According to The Pokémon Company, the games have "easy-to-understand, player-friendly conveniences" brought to recent games in the main series. There are also close-quarters battles.

You can pick between Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup as your starter Pokémon. The titles come with their own legendary Pokémon to search for, too. You get Dialga in Diamond and Palkia in Pearl.

Other new titles coming out soon are the New Pokémon Snap and the Pokémon Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch.
