INSTAX Mini Link x Nintendo Switch Special Edition launch

If you were around back in the 90s and a Pokémon fan, you may recall the Pokémon Snap Stations that were found at Blockbusters. Fans of the game would wait patiently in line to take a keepsake photo with them. With that nostalgia in mind, INSTAX is bringing that same fun feeling. Gamers can capture their favourite moments with the introduction of the INSTAX Mini Link for Nintendo Switch Smartphone Printer. This latest collaboration gives Nintendo Switch users a fun way to make custom prints of their game play right from their Mini Link Special Edition using the new, dedicated Smartphone app (free app, Android and iOS).

The new Mini Link Special Edition and related product App will be released to authorized Fujifilm product dealers on April 30, 2021, in conjunction with the launch of the New PokémonSnap*2 game for the Nintendo Switch system.

The App allows filters and frames to be added to screenshots taken using the Nintendo Switch capture function, which can be printed onto INSTAX instant images via the Mini Link Special Edition for users to display and share. A simple QR Code scan of the game screen using the Mini Link Special Edition App allows the image to be printed with a variety of character frames based on Nintendo Switch games including New Pokémon Snap, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Super Mario Odyssey. Current INSTAX MINI Link Smartphone printer users can also download this new App for free, for use with their existing Smartphone printer product.

To celebrate this collaboration, the Mini Link Special Edition will be featured in Ash White, with red accents on the top surface, and with the power button accented in blue, denoting the signature colours of the Nintendo Switch system. It will be available as a single printer, but also in a special bundle with a customized silicone case designed with the popular Pokémon Pikachu. The special bundle will be released in a limited quantity concurrently with the Mini Link Special Edition.
