TikTok is reportedly working on a job recruitment feature
If the recent report from Axios is accurate, there might be a new job recruitment tool coming to TikTok soon. According to the publication's sources, this pilot program is designed to help TikTok users find jobs on the service, where they will be connected to companies looking for new talent.
TikTok is reportedly testing this service with a beta group of companies, including "several big brands." The platform won't be integrated within TikTok. Instead, it'll be a separate web page accessible through the TikTok app where the partner brands can post jobs.
The openings will most likely be entry-level listings as the market of the app is relatively young. TikTok users can post TikTok video resumes instead of traditional ones. According to Axios, "The idea is for users to give an elevator pitch or work experience summary via the video in a unique way."
The service will ask candidates to post their resume videos on their TikTok pages if they want to publicize the new service.
It seems the idea came from a top TikTok executive posting on LinkedIn a Washington Post article on how Gen Zers use the service to share career advice.
