Intelligent Display Tech showcased in new TCL 20 Pro 5G and TCL 20S

TCL Communications today announced that its TCL 20 Pro 5G and TCL 20S smartphones are coming to Canada. Mixing the pricing of midrange phones with flagship features, TCL'a phones have improved each year, notably in the display and camera departments where users will find features akin to many more expensive models from the likes of Samsung.

Both the TCL 20 Pro 5G and the TCL 20S offer innovative high-resolution displays, better-than-life video visuals, a full suite of camera features and outstanding battery and storage capabilities, all at affordable price points.

“Our new 20 Series smartphones renew our commitment to our customers by giving them exceptional phones at attractive prices,” says Charles Zou, President of TCL Communication North America. Today, Canadians rely on their smartphones more than ever, whether it’s to stay virtually connected with those outside their homes or to watch the latest movie, or social media video. We are proud that TCL phones can offer innovative solutions that enhance our customers’ connectivity and prioritize what they need in a smartphone.”

The highlight of the new lineup is TCL’s best-in-class visuals through its proprietary display optimization technology, NXTVISION. It provides sharper details and greater contrast for a better-than-real-life visual experience. NXTVISION also offers elevated levels of eye protection, filtering blue light to reduce eye strain.

While competing smartphone manufacturers who also make display technology focus on increasingly larger smartphone displays, shrinking bezels, and ways to hide cameras and fingerprint readers under the display. TCL has managed to do the same but also provides ways for users to tweak display settings for gaming, reading, and decreasing eye strain.

Both phones announced today support HDR10 playback for streaming TV series, documentaries and films on Netflix, all with exceptional visual quality and billions of colours. Both new devices also have large battery capacity and offer over a full day of power. Additionally, the TCL 20 Pro 5G also includes 256GB internal storage and microSD capacity of up to 1TB, so you can store all your images and high-resolution videos worry-free.

TCL's smartphone designs really do buck the trends we've seen in midrange devices. Sure, the processors aren't likely the newest or most powerful, but offering 256GB of storage is usually reserved for the most expensive models. TCL also excels at bundling multiple camera arrays in the most elegant and non-obstrusive way. They've never required camera bumps yet can offer up to 10X zoom as well as multiple wide and ultra-wide cameras. The TCL 20 Pro 5G even has a unique matte and gloss back glass combination which is both tactile and stylish.

The TCL 20 PRo 5G's crown jewel is its curved 6.67-inch AMOLED display which DXOMARK gave a 89 rating.

The TCL 20S, a more affordable option, also offers crisp visuals, expansive display, advanced photographic features and dazzling starlight design. it's also innovative, being the very first phone to come with TÜV Rheinland-certified Circular Polarization Display technology, allows you to see the display in natural colors, even when wearing sunglasses. Its quad camera array should please mobile photographers.
