Source: Samsung

Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic users are getting more out of their smartwatches. The company is rolling out a big software update that adds better body composition insights, running- and cycling-specific training programs, and a new sleep coaching program. The update is already scheduled to roll out, so it should soon hit your device.

The new body composition targets and insights will offer daily tips and reminders to stay on track with your fitness journey. You'll get details on specific body composition goals, like weight, body fat percentage, etc. Everything is accessible on the Samsung Health app. While the updated interval training feature lets runners and cyclists set and track custom intensity training sessions. You can also view a percentage of VO2 Max to know how hard you're pushing yourself. It'll let you know how much you've sweated and inform you about how much water you should drink to help you recover.

The update also brings recovery heart rate measurements, which generate data up to two minutes after your workout is over. There is also a new sleeping coach program, so you get tips on how to get better rest. It is customized to your daily routines and even gets a feature that turns off connected SmartThings devices as soon as the watch detects you're sleeping.

There are also new watch faces and watch straps for those who want to refresh the look of their Galaxy Watch4. The straps will be available through Samsung's Bespoke Studio.
