Waze gets Retro Mode

Get nostalgic with Waze with a new Retro Mode driving experience. The mode celebrates the personalities and trends from the '70s, '80s, and '90s. You can set your vibe to '70s peace, love, and happiness with an "eccentric radio DJ" as your host and navigator, a flower-power "El Vanarino" as your vehicle, and a groovy lava lamp as your Mood. 

If Jazzercise is more your speed, have an '80s aerobics instructor guide your journey as you navigate in a Rad Racer sports car and a "Pumped!" boombox Mood. And if you're more of a '90s lover, get a pop star to help you avoid traffic and the paparazzi. At the same time, you drive in a classic two-door "SUV4EVA" and set the mood to "Dialed Up," a classic desktop PC sans the pain of actually dialling up to connect to the internet.

Waze has also partnered with TuneIn to deliver those nostalgic tracks in the app. Canada gets the 90's Hits to bop around to. To listen through Waze, make sure you sync your Audio Player. To activate the Retro Mode, head to My Waze and tap the "Drive with the 80's" banner. It's available globally in English, French, and Portuguese for a limited time.
