Apple watchOS 9 can show onscreen Fitness+ metrics on compatible third-party devices
With the upcoming rollout of watchOS 9 and iOS 16, Apple Fitness+ gets some more handy features. If you don't use Apple TV, you can use AirPlay to stream workouts on third-party devices. For these compatible third-party devices, you even get to see onscreen metrics. Apple hasn't mentioned in its PR what devices it supports.
Another update coming to watchOS 9 is the addition of onscreen guidance and trainer coaching to get the most out of your workouts. You'll get information like Intensity for HIIT, Cycling, Rowing, and Treadmill; Strokes per Minute (SPM) for Rowing; Revolutions per Minute (RPM) for Cycling; and Incline for walkers and runners in Treadmill.
iOS 16 is also helping Fitness+ users stay motivated with dedicated awards for personal records, streaks, or significant milestones, including completing a Fitness+ workout or meditation such as "First Fitness+ Core Workout" or "Best Fitness+ HIIT Workout."
