Apple iPhone 14 Pro users report shaky camera footage in third-party apps

Source: Apple

Some owners of the new iPhone 14 Pro are reporting issues with the camera recording in third-party apps, claiming it produces blurry footage. These users are discovering the shaky videos in apps like Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram when you record within the apps. Posts on social media speculate it could be caused by the optical image stabilization system.

The iPhone 14 Pro's 48-megapixel camera uses a second-generation Sensor Shift OIS, which physically moves the sensor. Some users claim to see and hear shaking when using the camera features of these apps (like in this video). It's unclear how many iPhones are affected by the issue. The problem doesn't seem to exist with the native camera app, so it could be a bug that apps or Apple need to address with how they work with the camera module.
