Displace TV has vacuum suctions to stick on any surface

Source: Displace

One of the more ambitious products we've seen at CES 2023 is a new television called the Displace TV. This wireless 55-inch 4K OLED TV features an active-loop vacuum technology to suction itself into place. So, you can stick it to any wall or glass in your home. There are handles built into the frame, so it's easier to lift. According to the company, each unit weighs less than 20 pounds.

It also has four hot-swappable onboard batteries, eliminating the need for a power cord. You can swap out the batteries even as someone is watching TV. The company hasn't shared information on battery size and charge time, but its representatives said you can expect around a month's use if you watch six hours of TV daily.

The Displace TV can forego the power cord because it doesn't do heavy processing onboard. Like the new LG Signature OLED M3, it streams media from a base station and just performs the rendering. This television also comes with a pop-up 4K camera, which you can use for high-res video calls and gesture control. And you'll need to learn the gestures because that's the only way to interact with the TV.

Multiple Displace TVs can be placed side-by-side. You can have four Displace TVs arranged into a square to create a 110-inch 8K TV. There's still a thin bezel around the TV, but they shouldn't be too bothersome. Displace has plans to create bezel-less models in the future.

As expected from a new kind of device, the Displace TV will cost a hefty US$3,000 (around CA$4,020). There will only be 100 units available for pre-order, with shipping starting in December.
