The NBA app can turn you into a player in a live game

You won't be playing in the actual game, but there will be a way in the NBA app to overlay you in a match and make it seem like you're making that basketball player's move. In a demo shown by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Ahmad Rashad, you'll use the NBA app to scan the person you want to drop into a game. (As The Verge noted, it looked like Epic Games' RealityScan app but for people.) And then, you'll choose from a menu the player they want to inhabit. When that's done, their scan will then be overlaid on top of that player as they move around the court. It is unclear though when the feature will come out. But from the video above, it looks like a fun party trick to use with fellow NBA fans in your life.
