WhatsApp beta reveals animated avatars

WhatsApp, the messaging app owned by Meta, is preparing to launch a new feature to make your chats more lively and fun. Animated avatars were spotted in the latest beta version, 2.23.15.6, available through the Google Play Beta Program, by WABetaInfo.

WhatsApp has recently improved its avatar functionality on both iOS and Android platforms. Now, you can create your avatar automatically by taking a photo or choosing from a collection of avatars available in the app settings. But WhatsApp is not stopping there.

The next step is to animate the avatars, adding more expression and personality. The latest beta update shows that WhatsApp is working on this feature. And it looks promising. The animated avatars are already working and stable, and they will enhance your communication experience with stickers. There is no official release date yet, but we hope to see them soon.
