Roborock unveils 2 new robot vacuums with enhanced features at IFA 2023

Roborock Q5 Pro (Roborock)

Roborock unveiled its latest robot vacuums and a new washing machine at IFA 2023. Among them, the Roborock Q5 Pro stands out as the ideal choice for first-time buyers of smart home cleaning devices.

The Roborock Q5 Pro boasts a powerful 5,500pa suction and a large 770ml dustbin that reduces the need for frequent emptying. It also has mapping capabilities and new app features that let you customize your cleaning preferences. For example, you can set no-go zones, request fast cleaning that runs 30 percent faster, or specify a direction to clean along the floor seams.

Roborock Q8 Max (Roborock)

The company also introduced the Q8 Max, which shares some features with the Q5 Pro, such as the new DuoRoller brush system. This means they use two counter-rotating rubber brushes to collect dirt more efficiently. The Q8 Max also has a Reactive Tech obstacle avoidance feature that prevents it from getting stuck. It also has a mopping function and a 350ml water tank. Both robot vacuums have the same suction power.

The Roborock Q5 Pro is priced at US$429.99 (around CA$580) for the standalone version or US$699.99 (~CA$945) for the Q5 Pro Plus, which comes with an auto-empty charging dock. The Q8 Max costs US$599.99 (~CA$810) for the standalone version or US$819.99 (~CA1,107) for the Q8 Max Plus. Both will be available in October.
