Clicks: The iPhone case that brings back the BlackBerry keyboard

Clicks, a UK-based company, is launching a new iPhone accessory at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. It’s a case with a built-in physical keyboard that lets you type with more feedback and accuracy. It makes it look like you're attaching a BlackBerry keyboard to the bottom of your phone. 

The keyboard fits snugly at the bottom of the case without blocking the screen or the phone's side. It also adds some length to the phone, but you can still see everything on the display as you type. The keyboard plugs into the iPhone’s Lighting or USB-C port, depending on your model, and doesn’t interfere with charging. It doesn’t use Bluetooth or batteries, so you don’t have to worry about pairing or power either. 

It also has a backlight for typing in low-light conditions and keyboard shortcuts for navigating without touching the screen. For example, you can press the space bar to scroll down web pages. However, the keys are quite small, which might be a challenge for people with larger hands and fingers. 

Clicks was founded by content creators Michael Fisher (MrMobile) and Kevin Michaluk (CrackBerry Kevin). You can order the Clicks Creator keyboard from their website for US$139 (around CA$186) for the iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro and US$159 (~CA$213) for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, but it won’t ship until February 1.
