Boox Palma 2 compact e-reader sports faster processor, upgraded OS
The compact e-reader, the Boox Palma, gets upgraded with the new Palma 2. This e-reader that doubles as a smartphone features an upgraded octa-core processor to help it perform daily tasks faster. It also now has Android 13, which isn't the latest Android build but an upgrade from the Android 11 on the original Palma. Boox also added a fingerprint scanner to the Palma 2's power button.
Everything else is the same as its predecessor. The Boox Palma 2 sports a 6.13-inch E Ink Cart 1200 screen featuring Boox Super refresh technology, a dual-speaker setup, and a programmable button. It also features the same 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, microSD support, and a 3,950mAh battery.
You can get the Onyx Boox Palma 2 in black or white. Pricing starts at US$280 (around CA$389) for the 8GB + 128GB option, while the first-gen Boox Palma gets discounted to US$246 (~CA$342).
