Apple might be prepping for international Vision Pro launch
Apple appears to be preparing for a wider rollout of its mixed-reality headset, the Vision Pro. Recent job postings on the company's website (since removed) advertised for "Briefing Experience Specialists" in countries like Australia, China, and Japan. These specialists would be tasked with showcasing Vision Pro and the visionOS platform to potential business customers.
This job description, mentioning both Vision Pro and visionOS, strongly suggests Apple is planning to introduce the headset in these regions. The focus on enterprise users hints at Apple's strategy to position Vision Pro as a productivity tool.
Further evidence comes from the discovery of support for multiple languages in the visionOS virtual keyboard, including Chinese, French, German, Japanese, and Korean. This aligns with the potential launch countries.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicts a global expansion before June, possibly to attract developers for WWDC 2024 and the upcoming visionOS 2.
While Apple hasn't officially confirmed specific launch dates, these signs point towards a significant expansion of the Vision Pro's availability beyond the current US market.
