Fitbit dashboard on the web might be going away

Fitbit users have been encountering blank dashboards on the web app (fitbit.comrecently. (When we tap on the link, it redirects to a support page.) This has sparked speculation that Google, which now owns Fitbit, might be phasing out the web version in favor of a mobile-app-only experience.

The Fitbit web dashboard, which has been around since the days of syncing trackers with USB dongles, hasn't received a visual update in a while. While some users appreciate its familiarity, others might prefer the more modern design of the Fitbit app.

Since last week, some users have reported missing stat cards on the web dashboard. This appears to be a caching issue. You can try clearing your browsing data in Chrome (Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data). Uncheck Cookies and other site data (you'll need to re-login everywhere), but leave Cached images and files checked. Then, click Clear data to see if it fixes the dashboard.

However, the timing and a new banner on the web dashboard that prompts users to "Check out your health dashboard in the Fitbit app" suggest a bigger change might be underway. Google phasing out the web dashboard, similar to what happened with Google Fit a few years ago, isn't out of the question.
