Samsung's newest premium tablets are getting Galaxy AI built into them, too. The company launched its new Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra. There's no base model this time around. You can expect a performance boost over its predecessors. But you'll probably want to learn more about how Galaxy AI enhances the experience on these tablets.

Many of the existing artificial intelligence-powered features come to these slates. You'll get Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, and Note Assist. But there are a few enhancements.

Note Assist offers automated transcriptions and summaries. There's also a new PDF Overlay Translation that can seamlessly translate PDFs via an on-screen overlay. Plus, there's a Handwriting Help feature that polishes untidy handwritten notes.

Samsung also uses its accessories to give you quick access to Galaxy AI. Using the included Galaxy S Pen, the tablet has an Air Command to AI feature that pulls up the Galaxy AI Assistant instantly. Plus, a new Book Cover Keyboard you can buy separately has a dedicated Galaxy AI key. Think something like the Copilot key on some Windows laptops to access the AI feature easily. You can decide between Samsung Bixby and Google Gemini.

Samsung encourages you to turn your Galaxy Tab S10 into your smart home hub. It gets Samsung's 3D Map View, which shows you the status of the SmartThings-enabled devices in your home. You can access it through the SmartThings widget. It enables features like SmartThings Energy and AI Energy Mode to monitor your devices' energy consumption.

Galaxy AI features aside, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and Tab S10+ sport 14.6- and 12.4-inch OLED displays, respectively. Both run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, which Samsung claims "enables faster and more responsive AI features."

Samsung specifically mentions how the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra outperforms its predecessor. It gets an increase of 18% in CPU performance, 28% in GPU, and 14% in NPU.

These two tablets get almost the same camera setup. They all have a 13-megapixel main paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide on the back and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide in front. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra gets an extra 12-megapixel selfie camera.

Battery capacity is also different. The Ultra sports a larger 11,200mAh battery, while the Plus gets a 10,090mAh one. However, both support 45W charging. You will need to buy the power adapter separately.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series comes in two colours: Moonstone Grey and Platinum Silver. You can get as much as CA$1,000 off with an eligible trade-in device.

Here's the pricing for the new devices:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (12GB RAM + 256GB expandable storage) - CA$1,599.99
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (12GB + 512GB) - CA$1,749.99
