Samsung debuts AI-enhanced Galaxy A56 5G at MWC 2025

Samsung has unveiled its latest mid-range powerhouse, the Galaxy A56 5G, at Mobile World Congress 2025, showcasing a significant leap in its popular A series.
The Galaxy A56 5G boasts a refined design, featuring a slim, polished metal frame and a sleek, minimalist aesthetic. The device is available in a range of stylish colours with a milky matte finish, including Awesome Pink, Awesome Olive, Awesome Lightgray and Awesome Graphite.
Its 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display promises a vibrant and immersive viewing experience, with increased brightness compared to its predecessors. Notably, the A56 5G is lighter and thinner to enhance user comfort.
AI-driven features elevate the A56 5G's functionality. Google's Circle to Search allows users to effortlessly find information by simply circling anything on their screen, including identifying music. Enhanced night photography capabilities, powered by a 12-megapixel front camera, ensure clear and vibrant selfies even in low-light conditions. Additionally, advanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser and custom Filters give users creative control over their images. The Best Face feature simplifies group photos by selecting the optimal expressions from multiple frames.
Security is a key focus, with the Galaxy A56 5G being one of the first smartphones in the A series to feature One UI 7 and hardware-backed Knox Vault, providing robust data protection. Samsung has also committed to six years of security updates and up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, ensuring a secure and long-lasting user experience.
The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G will be available in 128GB and 256GB variants, with pricing starting at €479 (around CA$754). There is no word on Canadian availability yet.
