Specs of the Moto X+1 resurface online

Brazilian retailer Livraria Logos has put up product pages for the Moto X+1 and while there aren’t any images, they do have some features we could expect from the leaked Motorola device. The product pages say it will have a 5.2-inch display, unnamed 2.2GHz quad-core processor, 16GB of storage, 2GB of memory, and a 13-megapixel camera. It will run on Android 4.4.4 and will come in black, bamboo, and leather backing. It carries the model name XT1097, which according to benchmarks that surfaced earlier this month it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Wooden backplates are definitely exciting but leather is even more luxurious and really pushes the envelope for smartphone design.

Leaks of the rumoured Moto X+1 surface

Since @evleaks announced he was retiring from the tech leaks game, it looks like he wanted to leave us all with a parting gift: leaked press renders of the alleged successor of the Moto X. The Moto X+1 looks like it retains the overall shape of the Moto X but it is a bit bigger than its predecessor. And there are new speaker at the top and bottom of the device. One of the renders has a Verizon logo at the back, which means the telecom company will be one of the carriers of this new rumoured device.

HP tipped to be develop US$199 Windows-based laptop

Microsoft wants to make sure it can take on Google’s Chromebooks and looks like HP is going to help them. A leaked document showed details about a laptop called HP Stream 14. The US$199 device will reportedly be equipped with a low-powered AMD A4 Micro processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB flash storage, and a 14-inch 1366x768 resolution screen. If you want one carrying an A10 Micro ship, 1080p touchscreen display, and 64GB of space, then you will have to shell out a bit more.

HP will also be offering 100GB OneDrive storage for two years for those who will buy this device. There isn’t any official word yet when the Stream will come out but we’re sure we are not far off from seeing this out in the wild soon.

LG will reportedly launch OLED screen-toting G Watch 2 at IFA

Looks like LG was taking the criticisms against their first Android Wear device seriously, if rumours are to be believed that is. The South Korean tech firm just barely introduced its first G Watch and now there are reports that they will be introducing the G Watch 2 at IFA next month. The updated version of the smartwatch will reportedly carry an OLED screen, which will be a big departure from the LCD screen of the first-gen smartwatch. It will also feature an updated look to counter criticisms against the G Watch’s plain, uninspired design.
