Lenovo has a new Netflix HD-supported tablet

Source: Lenovo

Another pre-CES debut from Lenovo is a new tablet built for entertainment lovers. The Lenovo Tab M9 is a 9-inch Netflix HD-supported tablet with a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution display. It gets entertainment-ready features like Dolby Atmos spatial audio and dual stereo speakers. Book lovers can enjoy the immersive reading mode that simulates the color of physical book pages, soften the tone for your eyes, and offer different ambient background sounds. Now, if it can only replicate that old book smell.

The Lenovo Tab M9 runs on a MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor with Android 12 OS, up to 128GB of storage, 13 hours of battery life, face unlocking feature, and WiFi 5 connectivity. Lenovo plans to sell this tablet in the second quarter of 2023 for US$140. Be prepared to shell out a bit more if you want the optional folio case.

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i 2-in-1 Chromebook gets a larger screen

Source: Lenovo

Lenovo showcased one of its new Chromebooks ahead of CES 2023. It's not as quirky a device as the Lenovo Go Desk Station, but it's still pretty useful. The new IdeaPad Flex 3i 2-in-1 Chromebook gets a larger 16:10 12.2-inch display, which you can use in laptop, tablet, or tent mode. It gets slimmer bezels than last year's Flex 3i Chromebook and seems to be less chunky than that model.

This new Chromebook runs on the latest Intel N-series processors (N100 or N200), up to 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. It promises up to12 hours of battery life and offers WiFi 6E connectivity, tuned speakers, and a drop-hinge feature for a more ergonomic typing experience. If you need a webcam, that's an optional addition. The Full HD webcam comes with a physical shutter and designated mute key. You can also get an optional backlit keyboard with this laptop. Lenovo plans to ship the IdeaPad Flex 3i in May 2023 at a starting price of US$350 (around CA$475).

Lenovo Go Desk Station with Webcam is a do-it-all accessory

Source: Lenovo

We always love seeing quirky accessories at CES, and Lenovo has its fair share of unusual gadgets to reveal at the tech show. The newest one is the Go Desk Station with Webcam. The model name doesn't explain much about what this gadget is, but it's basically a webcam, adjustable desk light, Qi wireless charger, and expansion hub in one.

It has the Lenovo GO 4K Pro Webcam, which is available as a standalone camera. This cam is built for video conferencing and high-res streaming with support for up to 4K at 30 frames per second streaming, autofocus, and auto-framing. It even has auto ambient light adjustment. The Go Desk Station attaches to the top of the lamp.

Lenovo explores rollable laptop concept

Aside from a rollable smartphone concept (through Motorola), Lenovo is also exploring bringing the technology to its laptops. The rollable laptop concept looks like it has your typical landscape display, but then it rolls up to a square shape. This form factor should make it easier to view documents or look at things like vertical videos. As with foldable smartphones, it opens up the possibility of packing in a larger display into a smaller or at least more compact form factor. We don't know if this concept will ever see the light of day, but we'd love to see Lenovo take a shot at bringing this to market.
