SlideShow: Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone

While it may not be dramatically different from its predecessor, the flagship Samsung Galaxy S4 is very much a statement device. Currently one of the highest-specced quad-core Android smartphones in the market, the GS4 improves on the Galaxy S3 with a boatload of innovative software features, an improved 13-megapixel camera, IR blaster capability for controlling TVs and cable boxes, the ability to carry on ad-hoc WiFi file sharing, a gamut of sensors geared towards health apps and much more. It also feels better constructed and features a higher capacity battery.

Sony previews PlayStation 4, new controller, some games but no box - coming in time for Holiday 2013

So Sony revealed more details of their PlayStation 4 console including the new DualShock 4 controller with a touchpad and various game demos. Sony didn't show what the console will look like or even drill down on the specific specs and features but did note that the next PlayStation would be more social, would have much faster game loading and resume times and would not be backwards compatible with PlayStation 3 titles (although it was hinted these games can be accessed and played via their cloud component. Rogers to allow unlocking of smartphones after 90 days, cost is still $50

Rogers announced that starting in March, they will allow the unlocking of smartphones purchased under contract after 90 days. This is even if users do not complete their full term.  Here's the statement, "In March 2013, we’ll be changing our policy so that you no longer have to wait until you complete your full term commitment – you can unlock 90 days after activating your device on the Rogers network. We’re also making it even easier for you to have your phone unlocked by bringing it to any of our Rogers retail stores." Cost to unlock the phones is $50.00 plus taxes, same as before. Rogers would only unlock phones through their customer service line.

BlackBerry 10 is ready to compete in the mobile industry

With BlackBerry 10, the newly renamed BlackBerry (or, the company formerly known as RIM) is aiming for third place behind the more popular Android and iOS devices and ecosystems.
